I haven't had a cold in over three years. I can't exactly remember but it has probably been a lot longer; no cold or flu, it may even be longer than 5 years.

I think it is common among lyme sufferers that some of us don't catch cold or get the flu.

I feel like I am essentially done with Lyme treatment. I almost feel like I need to catch a bad cold or flu to prove it to me though.

I know that sounds like the opposite of what I should want. It seems that I should be happy that my immune system wards off colds and flus. Yet my immune system has not been healthy for a long time and all thru it; no colds. I am hoping that it is getting healthy. I am hoping that it will improve even more once I go off the abx.

Strangely I am hoping that I get a cold or flu. It seems like it might be an indicator that my immune system is getting back to normal.

Does anyone else have this suppressive symptom?

I had a cold last month & recooped quickly & not severe, so this is a good sign ??? I do believe my adrenals are functioning much better.

I can't seem to catch a cold either. Its been years! I often wonder why I don't and I have four kids!! Right now a cold has been circulating our house and I don't even have a tickle in my nose yet....I'm with you, it seems weird not to catch a cold????

I still don't get why we don't catch a cold... normally weak immune system means more colds... I mean people with AIDS can die from a cold... so why are we not able to catch it? I speculate that the bb eats any virus, so we don't need to defend ourselves....fff...

I don't think it's a good idea to try to catch any infection. Ever.

My husband has a horrific cold and sounds awful. I seem to have a little bit of it. Did not feel well today, but it was more fatigue, head & shoulder pain. Also felt very, very cold--this was a symptom that went away--that chilled feeling. So, either I've got his cold or am herxing or have something creeping back.

I would just rather feel good. Lots of stuff to do in the next week.

I think we don't catch colds much because we don't have a proper immune reaction. We can seem to muster up a healthy response (fever, etc.) to fight it off. I think our bodies may just harbor the infections because we can properly fight them off.

I think a good fever every once in a while is a good thing.... to "clean house" so to speak. If you're lucky enough to get a fever, don't bring it down with tylenol, etc. Our body knows what it is doing; it's heating up to kill the invader. Why stop the genius of what our body knows to do?

I just got over a cold. If that makes me more healthy I am all for it.
I didn't feel too healthy while I had it though. I felt horrible.
