so after 14 months of getting nowhere with my doctor I finally broke down and did the Igenex test.
IGM- 41+, 45+, 66+ IGG- 31IND, 39IND, 41+, 58+
MRI also showed small focal abnormalities in the white matter of the brain.
never had a visible tick bite but was an avid outdoorsman before this started. last time I was in the woods I took 12 ticks off my clothes.

Looks like lyme to me. I also had two small spots on my MRI and an abnormal spect.
Fast forward too today after 8 months of treatment, my brain MRI is normal. Spect is greatly improved. Still have a bit more to go but feel a bunch better.
Get an LLMD asap!

From the above link:
DR C of MO states...
( from around 1999 ).. "In my clinical experience, if a patient has symptoms suspicious for borreliosis, and has one or more of the following bands, there is a very high probability the patient has borreliosis.
These bands are 18, 22, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 37, 39, 41, 83, and 93."
From around 2005:
"The significant antibodies, in my opinion, are the 18, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 39, 58, 66 and 93."

Carol- I've been poking around Lymenet for a few months now. main reason I decided to forego my doctor and do the Igenex test.
I am familar with the breakdown of the results but with me showing weak results I wonder if I am on the right track.
Lymetutu- I actually have an appointment with a LLMD next month. probably should have made the appointment first since there was a 30 day wait.
thanks for the responses.

A weak positive is still a positive... see Dr C's explanation. The only thing "weak" about your test are the two "IND's".
Glad you found a dr.. hope he's a good one!

Sounds like you spent a lot of time in the woods, and the last time you pulled (12 ticks off your clothes).
In my humble opinion, the changes of you having at least lyme disease is> 99%.
What are some of your other symptoms?
Im glad youre seeing an LLMD. Dont forget, most blood test show very little results. The little buggers know how to hide!
Stay out of the woods for awhile

Steve- my symptoms are vertigo without the spinning, buzzing and weakness in the legs, sore neck, ringing in the ears,
general weakness, fatigue, floaties in vision, heart skipping a beat, and hands shaking.
also have had what might be anxiety attacks without the rapid heartbeat.
everything seems to intensify every 3 to 4 weeks.
when this first hit me 14 months ago I dropped 18 pounds.
I've been to 2 cardiologists, 3 neurologists, numerous blood tests and a colonoscopy.
the best they could come up with was silent migraines.
one specialist told me Lyme is like religion. he will believe it when he sees it.
I haven't been in the woods since Oct 2009. haven't had the energy.

Lyme disease. Your symptoms, history, and your test results, no doubt about it.

thanks for all the replies. glad to know I seem to be on the right track.
hopefully the LLMD sees it the same way and I can finally start treating something after 14 months.
now I need to convince my insurance company that I probably have Lyme even though the CDC says I don't.

Dexter...your symptoms and story could have been a clone for mine. Biggest symptoms were dizziness, floaters, tinnitus, ear fullness, fatigue, anxiety, MRI with spots, lost 20 pounds, fast pulse, etc.
Good news is, after 9 months of treatment, most of these are completely gone. I'm 95% today.

Dex, now you know the enemy, go get 'em. You are probably in for a real fight the next several months.
Patience is a virtue. One that you will need to learn so you can fight them.

Some of your symptoms may be due to low magnesium, which is common with Lyme Disease.
