I am looking for some advice. I have been sick for about 5 years. I was diagnosed with Lyme and possibly Mycoplasma in July and started treatment in September. After I started treatment I felt much worse. Every month I track my symptoms and it seems that every 4 weeks I get a lot worse as wells as right before my period. My really bad days are becoming less frequent every month. However, I have knee pain that doesn't seem to go away (almost feels like it is getting worse) and I am still very symptomatic. Should all of these things been gone away by now? My knees seem to be very painful still and aren't really letting up. I am very worried that my treatment is working. Thanks for you help!

Please see an LLMD. Start a new thread and request names of LLMDs for PA.

Moving to Medical Questions
YES, PLEASE GO BACK TO SEEKING A DOCTOR AND REQUEST AN LLMD!!
I'm sorry you feel so bad! I'm not a doc, so definitely find yourself a good one as suggested.
I just wanted to share that I read in "Coping with Lyme Disease" that it's very common for women to suffer more with lyme symptoms around their periods. Ask your doc if there's anything you can do to help with that.

Thanks for your replies. I am in the process of looking for an LLMD.
How long does it typically take for people to feel better with Chronic Lyme?

honestly everyones different. it varies and depends how long you have had it also.
i had it a little over a year before recieving proper treatment, and i've been taking meds almost a year and a half now.

Thanks for your input! Did you have a c4a test done. Mine came back and it went up again. It went from 3,500 to 20,500, to 22,100. My doctor says it's from the herxing. I really don't know if I should worry about this. Any advice I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks
