Well not sure what to make of this.

Blood test results are from Jan and then again in March

CD-57 from 26 to 43
Iron from 12 to 29
Cortisol is high at 20.5

I lost one band on the western blot (41) Which now leaves me CDC Negative for Lyme. I still have some bad days with brain fog, head pressure and fatigue. My Dr. is pleased with my progress and is keeping me on the same doses and meds for another two months and checking me for Rocky Mt. Sp. Fever.

Is it true that you lose bands as you treat?

im not sure, but i was positive for 4 bands on western blot, and after treatment showed only 1... but when i relapsed all 4 are back now. i guess maybe they regrow? Im not sure, but its tricky. i dont think you would lose antibodies, but the tests that show specific proteins i would imagine should dissappear

I wouldn't go by any testing to tell me if I'm well.

So just keep going till you feel great!

I plan to keep going, I am feeling closer to myself more and more. I still have symptoms though.

Symptoms = Treatment. Gonna keep hittin it hard.

Bands often change even without treatment because of antigenic variability, immune system changes etc.. Tests don't help much in determining whether or not one is in remission. The CD57 is helpful but not absolute and supposedly it should be much higher than yours before stopping treatment.

My daughter has been tested via Igenex 3 times so far. While she has had 4+ bands its never been at the same time or category (IgG & IgM).

As an example: On her second test she had 34+ smf 41 IND on the IgM and 30+ and 41++ with 34 & 39 IND on the IgG. Not positive by IGeneX or CDC.

On her third test the IgM were all -, the IgG was 41++ and 34 & 39 IND.

I go by the philosphy you only need ONE band to show a reaction to confirm the Lyme. Then if you have Lyme you have to consider the other TB co infections.

Clinical diangosis, not serological.

Just a thought. My daughter had no classic symptom of Babesia except for the three that you mentioned. Have you treated for this co-infection yet?

You could add Malarone to the zith you are taking. Thats what she is on.

Doing much better.

My Dr. says most people who have contracted Lyme will always end up with one band at the end of treatment. Is the trick to treat until all bands are gone? As long as symptom free for two months ???
