It is a common side effect of doxy. It can get worse and become continual horrible reflux.

So, this is the way you take the doxy from now on--in the middle of a meal. Eat half a meal, take the pill, eat the rest of the meal.

Not a small snack. That won't do it.

Give it a few days to go away.

If it doesn't go away you can always try Doryx which is easier on the stomach..

finally quit the dox. too tough for me

I had the same problem...my LLMD said to take "Gaviscon" for the

acid reflux like symptoms...it is available OTC in pharmacies...

it is an antacid...but read the ingredients to see if it suits you...

I prefer natural remedies...but it did work for me...

I also took the doxy during meals and that helped...

You need to drink a ton of water - before the pill - with the pill - and off and on all day!

That should take care of the pain...
