I know it takes a long time for treatment but shouldn't it have improved a little?
on Mepron, Zith and Artemesia

Took my daughter over 6 weeks for fevers to start to alleviate, over 4 months for breathing improvements, over 6 months for the night sweats to taper off.
We are at 10 months and its only in the last few weeks I think the BABs symptoms are gone and its only lyme.
Still on Mepron and Zith for another 2 months.

t9- so I guess I should give it more time.
Air hunger is my only babs symptom
seeing Pulmonologist to rule out anything else that could be causing it.

Did you notice anything from the Mepron? Not as far as improvement in symptoms, but anything unusual? Fevers, sweating, flu-like symptoms, dizziness?
When I did Mepron, my situation wasn't that different. As after a month, my breathing wasn't better.
But I had mixed results though. First two weeks it felt like my breathing improved a little, but by the 3rd-4th week it was lousy again. But I also felt 'feverish' types symptoms with hot flashes that would come and go and got a little sweaty a couple of nights. And then I finally got all itchy with mild rashes, so we stopped. So I am guessing it may have been killing some Babesia, or was a side-effect of the med, but all I know is that I still can't breathe very well...
The longterm treatment thing confuses me a little with mepron. My ILADs doc says basically the opposite of what many here say... he says some improvement should be seen within 1-2 months and full treatment typically is 4-5 months or so (but it depends a lot on the patient).
Probably a good idea to take it at least another month and see how you do. And it's worth seeing the pulmonologist. If you have any asthma-stuff going on, you can do a trial of meds and see if it helps (expect to be offered steroid inhalers though).

Lemon-Lyme, my llmd said the same thing- I wonder if we go to the same guy.
I tried the asthma inhalers with no improvement.
I never had asthma issues or allergies in my life.
I don't notice any change on Mepron. I had a mild rash under my arms for a few days, but that's it.
No flu-like, no sweats, nothing. :/
Who even knows if this is Babesia.

Dr B says that "It has also been reported that Babesia infections can range in severity from mild subclinical infections, to fulminant, potentially life threatening illness."
Therefore I think that every case varies and some people require longer treatment to see results.
My LLMD said it took him a year of Babesia treatment to get better.
