like alzheimers or something? Are we more susceptible?

6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. Not sure anyone could say for sure.

If we have blue eyes are we more likely to get it?

As you can tell....

I'm not much on the "risk factor" game the medical community plays. My personal theory is naming risk factors is a way to have people change behaviors that some others don't like...

And/or...

To sell drugs.

If you have a chronic brain infection, like Lyme, then yes.

Recent studies have correlated alzheimer's with aluminum toxicity.

Not that lyme couldn't predispose us either.

studies with ginkgo have been very encouraging in even clinical alzheimer's cases.

Brain and memory tonics: Gotu kola, ginkgo, rosemary, bacopa

The FDA has not evaluated this information and it is not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent any disease.

fff recent study can link Alzheimer to aluminium, mercury, lead, cpn, lyme, ebv...what else? the truth is no one knows, just like no one knows why we develop cancer nor how to cure it...

I worry about this. KNowing I had lyme in my brain will it come back to haunt me later in life. My paternal grandfather had alzheimers. My material grandfather had diabetes related dimensia. Not a fun way to go.

How do you know if the infection has gone to the brain? Or is that inevitable with chronic lyme?

Somebody posted something about 6 months ago that actually sounded like we would be SAFER from such things than the normal poplulation. But I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS!! I remember thinking, 'oh, that's good!'

(do I have Alzheimer's already? [bonk] )

I try not to worry about it.
