I recently read that if you react to everything:food, chemicals, environment, that the th2 immune response is upregulated. Anyone know how to calm it down, or how to test if this is actually what is happening.
thanks

- Are you being treated by an ILADS LL doctor? If so, they should know as borrelia causes the Th1 and Th2 to sort of "flip" or reverse.
The over revving is from the immune system looking hard for something it knows is there but hiding. the other part is so clobbered that it's just worn out.
When the lyme is managed, the immune system gets better. But, along the way, LLMDs have used various products that help.
LDN is one thing (Low Dose Natrexone). Garth Nicohoson, Ph.D. has also discussed others.
Certain medical mushrooms can be wonderful help as many "modulate" rather than outright "boost" but each is unique so it helps to have a LLMD or LL ND to figure it out.
I would be cautious about taking anything unless you clear it with your LL doctor.
Even if something has been written about by ILADS' doctors, it may not be right for you at this point in time.
Hope others can answer you about how to test or otherwise figure out where you stand. -

Thanks Keebler. I've seen a few llmds but haven't tolerated any conventional/alternative treatments. I guess since i have brain lesion/ms diagnosis I can be pretty sure this is going on without my immune system without being tested.

I'm, pretty sure the brain lesions are from the lyme but have the MS diagnosis by a standard doc.

- I hope they instructed you about the importance of a low glutamate diet.
Still, the diagnosis of "MS" by a regular doctor leaves a great deal of room for improvement. "MS" is often the result cluster, not the underlying cause. But they don't think of that.
It might be good to be assessed for Cpn. Many with lyme have both. If so, both would need attention. Some methods of one helps the other but there are also some unique features.
Rife treatment could also be incorporated for both. The Cpn links are in a post above. -
