i only ask because he gave me a months worth(30 pills) but it says take 1 twice daily.i will run out in 15 days....can't get a hold of him.

thanks all..so most of you are on 500/total daily? i think i should break one in half and take that way

I am not sure you should break it. Call your Dr. Or just take one until you make sure.

Mine are breakable tablets. They are not capsules and not time release.

I took 500 mgs until my ears wouldn't stop ringing.

The recommended dose of Zithromax for Lyme is 500-1200 mg daily. I took the highest recommended dose.

Are you sure the tablets are 500 mg each?

You need to find out what your doctor wants you to take.

I was put on this before diagnoses from NASA doctor..

Sick so long, infection and many are using 250 for pain (CRP test)RA doc's, Pulm. Doc's etc

I'm taking:

3X300 omnicef
3x200 plaquenil
2x500 zith

My heart tests ok,of course. But I do have a lot of cardio/pulm symptoms. Flutters, palps....
