Hi lads,
who else is experiencing constantly infected eyelids (veins are visible on upper and lower eyelids but no pain) and can it be related to lyme, babesia or other TBI?

thanks,
Kern

I haven't heard of that before. I don't know that it is related, but everyone experiences such different symptoms it may be. It might be a circulatory issue?

Inflammed eyelids (called blepharitis) is the most common eye condition that eye doctors see.

Read my posts about it here:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/121880

It is not related to lyme and coinfections, except that any illness that throws your thyroid out of whack (and lyme will often do this) can cause you to have inflammed eyelids.

Generally, if you are a person that gets inflammed eyelids, you will have to treat yourself for it forever. It is a chronic condition in most cases.

But, the treatment once you get things under control might just be washing eyelids with baby shampoo and a Q-tip every other day.

I went to my eye doctor because I have something going on also. My condition is not blepharitis (I don't have anything oozing along the eyelash line). He said mine was "Contact Dermatitis". He said I am apparently reacting to something I have been in contact with.

I was recently using a new tinted hair product. I know that played a roll because as soon as I stopped the inflammation went down considerably. But I still have an itchy, flakey red eyelid on my right side.

I'm perplexed. Part of me is wondering if it can be parasite related?? (This all started when I started parasite treatment). Or perhaps related to the chloramine my town started to add to our water a few months ago instead of chlorine?? Also, I was curious to know if it could have been triggered from my LDN prescription. I stopped taking that about 9 days ago. But I don't think that's it, so I'm anxious to get back on that med.

Anyway, I'm still searching for my solution. Hope you find yours.

Best to you.
