These are the Igenex results for a 12 year old child with some crazy symptoms that may or may not be Lyme related. We have not done the co-infection test yet and are still searching for an answer for him. He suffers terribly.
IGM All bands deemed "-" except for the band 41kDa which is IND.
IGG All bands deemed "-" except for 34, 39, 83-93 kDa which are all IND. Positive "+" bands are 41 and 58 kDa.

No child can have crazy symptoms, sadly. I'm sure he is very ill and there is a very real explanation.
No, I do not think lyme can be ruled out. Lyme is never to be diagnosed by any test alone, anyway.
ANY postive band -- or even ANY IND BAND on either IgM or IgG matters greatly -
- along with a history of symptoms & clinical presentation as he presents ("he suffers terribly") Sure points to lyme as I see it.
I'm just curious as to why the rush to think it's not lyme? Sounds like a regular doctor who is not well enough educated. I hope you can get to a LLMD for a better assessment.
I'm sure this must be very rough for you both. And, this being a Friday evening, calls must wait until Monday. However, you might gather some LLMD options from your local lyme support group over the weekend.

I consider an IND to be a positive, actually. It's measuring, showing, registering something, that's not fairy dust. More detail here:

Looking back over your posts, I see that have asked about complementary treatments and that you are struggling now with Cowden maybe being too strong for you.
My guess is that the alcohol tinctures could be a consideration. I can't do those at all so it just pops to mind.
Still, backing up but also keeping in mind that while it's best for him to see a LLMD or to a LL ND -- if you don't have access to either,
for you, and for your son, I wonder if a RIFE machine might be a good step right now. If you know someone (local lyme support groups?) or might be able to budget one . . .
ending withoug wrapping up the sentence (should be my signature line).

No, I am not rushing to think it is not Lyme. I just want to get some other opinions.
And, frankly, I am a little scared for it to be Lyme in a child so I guess maybe there could be a touch of denial present.

Bands 41 and 23 are often an indication of protomxzoa. Then there are all the other infections as well. As for borellia, you often do not get a strong positive result until you have treated. It would be a good idea to try antibiotics to see if there is a response.
Keebler is so right about seeing a LLMD. Mainstream doctors are actually afraid of diagnosing lyme.

Seems like it could be Lyme? Is other testing being done like cortisol, vit. D, hormones...
Twelve years old is when my son started to crash. One theory is puberty and change of hormones etc... He went undiagnosed for nearly 3 years. If I could do it all over again, I would pursue the correct cause of symptoms with everything I had.
I can only assume what crazy symtpoms are. My son went there, and after 3 months of IV he returned. Over 9 months on IV so many symptoms improved. He continues treatment with an ILADS doctor.

Well, I see one confirmed Lyme band, 58, the heat shock protein one. 41 can be from flagellin of lots of spirochetes, including the Lyme one.
My opinion is that IND doesn't show up for no reason, that antibodies are lightly responding to very specific Lyme antigens.
I strongly urge you to seek out an LLMD for the child. You can ask in Seeking A Doctor.

39 and 83-93 are VERY specific for Lyme
83-93 is the DNA of the Bb
I would also consider an "IND" to be a positive.

Thank you for your responses. I think you all may be right: this child needs at least to be seen by a LLMD. It is too important to let these results slide.
