It bothered my stomach. Not anything new. Seems like most things bother my stomach.

Do you mind sharing what brand you use?

I get bulk at the healthfood store and put it in capsules. It reduces joint swelling a bit.

I like the Longvida brand, and Enhansa.

Are you using Tumeric or Curcumin?

My husband recently started using Curcumin for achy muscles.

Is Curcumin something you can take too much of?

I think it was the curcumin that gave me acid indigestion...painful

At first, I bought one that really irritated my stomach. I later found one that was OK. I have a REALLY sensitive stomach, but am able to take NOW Curcumin. The cheapest place is from Swanson's Vitamins.

I make sure to take it with food.

Tumeric works great for my husband's jock itch, even better than the meds prescribed by his md.

Is putting it in your food just as effective?

I cook with tumeric all the time.
I've never taken any supplements though.

Nope. If it is cooked, the therapeutic properties decrease or are gone. Need the capsules or tincture, or maybe homemade tea.

What a coincidence, my mother-in-law brought some from her daughter to me.

It is a powder that comes in a bag and looks rusty brown. I still don't know how to take it though?

Just mix teaspoon in water & gulp it? Besides pill forms, how do you take it?

Lymedin.. You can get empty capsules and put the turmeric in them.

Ema... sprinkle it on cooked foods for extra.

im not getting any pain relief from it at all.

Which one are you taking? I can't say it rocks my world completely . . but I'm unable to take anything else for pain. I can't even take Tylenol.

No Aleve, NSAIDS, pain pills, no Tramadol, no enzymes. I'm stuck.

Enhansa was one of the first things my LLMD put me on before even testing positive for lyme...still on it.

Yes, I buy this one online:

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/now-foods-curcumin-extract-95-665-mg-60-vcaps

Don't buy from the pharmacy or Wal Mart.

My ND had me try it at a high dose for over 6 months. It did nothing for me. [Frown]

She said she had mixed results with her patients.
