We are doing well with photon treatment. It could be a good fit as one machine could treat the whole family.

Search, photon, bionic 880 or PE1 here on lymenet, or PM me for more info.

All the best.

When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -

- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )

Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.

When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy);

D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic);

Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc.

(Be aware that those in some categories can have zero or various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)

Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;

knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

You can compare and contrast many approaches.

& WHY you need an ILADS-educated, Lyme Literate Doctor (whether LLMD or LL ND, or both)

None below are stand alone treatment by any means, just wanted to share a few of the top herbs I've used along the way. I hope you find a good LL ND soon to help guide you.

PARASITES - a lovely word, indeed (eh?)

Some LLMDs and LL NDs have commented that only since they've started to address parasites have some patients made the best progress.

It's certainly something to consider as most infected ticks carry many infections, including parasites. And they have to be treated with a special classification of Rx &/or herbal formulas.

Sometimes, parasite treatment is best FIRST, or at least included with lyme treatment from the start.

For a start, you might check out the website for HUMAWORM. Then:

Have all other possible infections (or conditions) been considered?

Diagnosing Lyme Disease (&/or whatever else is going on)

Other tick-borne infections and other chronic stealth infections - as well as certain conditions that can hold us back - are discussed here.

TIMACA's links thread here is very valuable, too.

Another consideration might be:

Excitotoxins; MSG; Aspartame; & "Natural" Flavors;

GMO foods that destroy the GI Tract; Gluten; Dairy.
