I swallowed 2 spoonfuls of Braggs ACV last night. I read that it was a huge detox aid. It was followed by what I think was a sizable herx. Does ACV fight infection? I think I have heard of some people doing shots of it, mixed with garlic and healing certain infections. Would this have activity against Lyme and/or coinfections as well?

I was told by my LLMD specifically NOT to use ACV; because of the fermentation. It caused problems with the candida.

I've heard the complete opposite. This is the first I'm hearing this. Aren't fermented foods good for us?

ACV drops my blood sugar like a rock. Is it possible that your symptoms were from low blood sugar?

ditto here.... ACV is suppose to help control candida.

From some of the older candida books that I have, it says to avoid all fermented foods.
It looks like there are different philosophies on this. I remember researching this awhile back, but I kept getting conflicting info.
