Based on symptoms and elevated IgG for Mycoplasma pneumonia (the species cross react on the antibody test) I feel I have a Myco infection.
Treatment depends on the species.
I did the MD Lab Myco panel because it tests for several species and is affordable.
It came back negative for all species.
Is it worth doing the same test again ?
The reason for this is, if the Myco bugs are not numerous in the blood, you could have an infection but the blood sample doesn't collect anything.
Or is there a better test ?
Because treatment depends on the species I would want a panel that covers several species.

Our LLMD used Labcorp for this. Everyone has this, even people without lyme. Our LLMD thinks it will resolve once lyme and co-infections are addressed. If you are chronic with lyme that is more difficult to treat. I'm sure you've read all the papers Dr Garth Nicholson has on myco. If not you should look into that.

I have read if Myco is an issue, you want to see the titers going down- redo the test after some treatment from the same lab.
Just had my daughter tested for this, with Labcorp for Myco P. It can be an issue with PANDAS/ PANS kids- I am not going to test for different strains.

Everyone has myco.
Most immune systems can deal with it.
Ours can't.
Myco + Lyme + bartonella + babesia are common in patients presenting with ALS-like symptoms, my doc says.
I noticed when we treated myco, it improved my swallowing and chewing.
I wish I could be more help lulu. Aside from dr Nicholson, myco seems to be a dark horse.
Ps. My mom has sarcoidosis, and tested positive for myco.

Well, I am looking for a pretty high IgG or obviously IgM to treat-
from what I'm reading, if the IgG is high, like out of range high, you've got an issue.

The thing that is important is that treatment depends on the species.
Also since the species cross react on the antibody test, if you test high IgG for M pneumonia, you could in fact be infected with M fermentans.
M fermentans is really bad and requires different treatment.

Thanks lulu, I have read it, I'm a read fanatic, and he is extremely knowledgeable.
M fermentans is the species they seem to have found in Vets- and spread to some of their family members upon returning.
My dd is a different presentation with PANS- absolutely no outward signs of physical illness- long story- at this point, I am sticking to the labcorp Myco P, see what that says,
and a retest of Lyme with Advanced Lab.
