My allergies went nuts when I got infected with Lyme. It was my first symptom.
My doc told me that the immune system can start attacking anything when you get overloaded with infection. I was told that the allergies would go down when the infections go down.
As I've got through treatment for Lyme and coinfections, my allergies are waaaaaaaay less.
One of Daryl Hall's first symptoms was a celery allergy.
Meat allergy from ticks: don't know what my kid is going to eat - no chicken, beef or turkey.

Yes, when I had lyme I got hives all the time. I got hives to a med I had taken for years. (It was my hormone replacement). I got hives to one of the antibiotics the doc tried to put me on, etc.
I also got hives to various anti-inflammatories. Every time I turned around I was getting hives to something.
I remember having hives for 3 months straight until we figured out I was now allergic to my hormone replacement.
Before lyme, I had never gotten a hive in my life.
It is now over 9 years since I got rid of lyme, babesiosis and bartonella. I have not had any hives in the last 9 years.
So, I saw it in my life big time. Lyme makes the immune system over-react and you get hives to many things.
This girl has so many classic lyme symptoms. I had the nerve pain in the teeth, the horrible lyme anxiety, the sound sensitivity. I also had other facial nerve problems including bilateral bells palsy and trigeminal neuralgia. I had the insomnia big time, and the lyme rage. Plus, the fatigue that is so beyond fatigue that they need to invent a new word for it!
Can you show the family the list of lyme symptoms in the Burrascano Guidelines and the responses you have gotten to your question?
Hopefully, you can steer them to a good lyme doctor and let this girl have a chance at having good health for the rest of her life--without any hives whatsoever!

The same thing happened to me right after infection! The hives went down as I continued Lyme treatment and changed to drugs I had not developed an allergy to.

Yes. Lyme unbalances the immune system, which makes it more likely to respond inappropriately to "safe" things like food...
Also, Lyme can inflame the gut, which leads to leaky gut, which also increases allergies to foods.

Could be ... but what I'm commenting on is the hamburger. Hamburger meat can have red dye to keep it red looking. It naturally gets brown looking, so butchers use red dye. So the "anything red" could include hamburger.
