After lyme was dormant for many years, I retested at Igenex last year and came up positive after I had no explanation for muscle pain.
I am in the hands of a great LLMD -- one of the best -- and am currently on two antibiotics (Doxy and Cedax), Interfase Plus, Chlorella, Cholestyramine, Niacin and several probiotics.
For the last several months, I've had pretty consistent muscle achiness in legs and sometimes back. Occasional lightheadedness but few other symptoms.
For the last 3-4 days, I've gotten bad back pain and now it's hard to even walk. Feeling really frustrated and anxious.
I'm doing everything right. Taking my meds, exercising, sitting in the sauna, and my LLMD says we're killing spirochetes but I'm not feeling any relief.
Just reaching out for support and reassurance that I'm going to be OK!!! Any kind words are appreciated!
Thanks!

Bruce, Sorry to hear your back in this boat...
You could be in more pain and not getting better because of what your doc said...
quote:and my LLMD says we're killing spirochetes
Most people feel worst before they feel better.
I will tell you this> If you continue to feel frustrated & anxious, your recover will take much longer.
Hang in there, and keep positive and busy. Steve

Thanks Steve.
We went from one to two antibiotics and he said his plan was to get the meds in deeper and do more killing. So that does make sense with the extra muscle pain, right?

Those would be Babesia symptoms for me. The physical and emotional. Will your doc evaluate and treat for co-infections?

Cholestyramine can aggravate Lyme symptoms. I couldn't tolerate it. When I took it when I was on abx we blamed the abx. Later we figured out it was the cholestyramine itself. I never could take it.
It is known to aggravate Lyme symptoms, yet we all think of it as "just a binder".
