I have been diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation and 2 different forms of electrical problems with my heart. I am going next week for a TTE to look at the valve more closely to see if it is calcified. I know that bacterial infection causes this problem. Has anyone else had this. I am soooooooooo totally bummed. I had been mostly symptom free for several yrs and then got bitten again and now am having all these issues! I am just feeling sometimes like it is useless to fight this as it just keeps destroying my body! However I will get myself up and try again! Anyone had treatment or surgery for this yet???

Have you had an echocardiogram on that valve before? I ask because it is always possible that you had a congenital heart issue that wasn't symptomatic until now.

I have MVP and A-fib ..
Be sure to up your magnesium intake! I also take CoQ10 for the A-fib .. REALLY helps.

Sounds like the Lyme has been acting like an old mule and is kicking you again! Darn it all!
The good thing is you've been diagnosed and have a direction to go. AND, you are already experienced with this nasty disease, so it isn't as scary, although usually much more depressing.
Here is an article that may have some connection with your situation? Have you tried IV antibiotics this time around?
Hope you can keep a clear and peaceful mind and know we will be cheering for you!!

Yes I have had an echocardiogram before. This is new. Thanks for the encouragement. I go Wed morning for the TTE so I will know what is up with the valve after that! They will be able to tell if it is puking (my explanation for it) because of calcification or not. It is leaking they do know that! Thanks everyone! I will start on all the things after that!
