In the last year, i have become sympomatic to foods such as berries, red wine, cinnamon, walnuts, ham, summer sausage..
Tinnitus gets extreme during my antibiotic pulsing weeks. So loud and variable in differing types of sounds that i feel like going insane is a viable option.
Most other symptoms are very babesia in nature. I am on a tx protocol currently. Depression is debilitating and i find myself shutting down and isolating from the world and resposibilities. Money is gone after 4 yrs of tx from a top doc in wash dc.
Not sure what to do anymore.
Allergies, leaky gut? Parasites? Auto immunity?
how to deal with tinnitus? Fullness in eustachian tubes, vertigo?
Gah! I am trying to reach out when all i want to do us run away.

All those foods are high in histamine, Lyme in general can cause histamine intolerance.
The tinnitus during abx could be from toxicity, I've been getting an increase in it sometimes after taking my abx dose, taking a handful of chlorella really helps.
For tinnitus in general (mine is constant) I found daily melatonin really helpful for quieting it, also systemic enzymes on an empty stomach.
I am still getting a lot of ear sx, have always had them, fullness, vertigo, cracking, popping, tinnitus. I was reading the other night that inflammation of the 7th and 8th cranial nerves can cause issues/spasming of parts of the inner ear, creating the cracking/popping type of tinnitus. Some info here:
When my ear sx are bad, my nerves are on high alert too, I can't handle external sensory input from anywhere, esp touch and sound. My nerve/ear sx wax and wane with tx and other sx, so I think they are tbd related. I get stretches sometimes with relief.
If you have never addressed parasites it could probably be a good idea to.
Sorry you are feeling so rough. When my ear sx are bad I am constantly trying not to flip out, maybe bart for me, think bart and Lyme like those cranial nerves. Depression on top doesn't help. Maybe there is a coinfection that needs to be addressed further? Hang in there.

Thanks gz. Gonna take a look into your suggestions
And yes, touch sensitivity is through the roof as well. Something with the central brain is being effected when that happens according to my lyme doc. Dronabinol helps with this symptom.

That's what I was going to say, too. All the foods you listed are high in histamine.
I'd look into a low histamine diet, DAO, and quercetin.
The low histamine chef has a great website on the condition.

You may want to do some research about "tactile defensive" for the touch sensitivity.
We have a family member that, as she was growing up, would respond to a gentle tap as if you were hitting her with a 2X4 but a spanking registered very little.
