I am having diverticulitis symptoms again. severe left lower abdominal pain, nausea, upset stomach, headache, constipation, now diahrrea.

this couldn't come at a worse time. I'm leaving in two weeks.

is there anything to sooth the colon?

last time I went to dr we had a bit of a tiff and I hate to go back again. I'm having these attacks more frequently and I've already had 12 inches taken out.

I can't get into a specialist for two months.

Hi Randibear, I think I heard that White Willow bark does. I use Nature's sunshine. Double check this to be sure.

White Willow Bark is aspirin. That could be caustic. Aspirin can pose a lot of bleeding risk.

It is an anti-inflammatory but there are safer choices in that arena.

. . . The conversion of willow bark to aspirin began in 1828 when German chemist Felix Hoffmann isolated the active ingredient and named it salicin. In 1899, the Bayer company began manufacturing and selling a modified form of the willow bark chemical acetylsalicylic acid, or aspirin.

I'd suggest marshmallow root capsules or slippery elm as Keebler mentioned.

Together would be even better.

I don't take aspirin. ibuprofen occasionally.

I'm leaving for st thomas on the 14th and dread it but absolutely no way to cancel.

I hate to go to dr but may have to. last time I took abx it made my yeast go completely rampant. I was taking all kinds of probiotics too.
