Hi all,

I would like to know if severe angioedema can be caused by Lyme or other coinfections.

Trying to help a friend of a friend, whom is literally dying and no doc seems to be able to figure it out. WE all know how that is battling this.

I myself had angioedema when I took the first antiobiotic after getting Lyme, but for this woman it is constant. Hopsice is being called, she has 3 young children, so i just thought it cannot hurt to ask all of you if you know anything at all about this.

Thank you so much

I tried searching , could not find anything. Sometimes I wonder if good ol google doesn't block the info. I'll keep trying

I will look at the link, thank you.

I'm certain she was checked for it, however, all the test seem to be crap. She's been to the Mayo clinic as well.

Most doctors are clueless about MCAS .. including Mayo.

Please send her the links.

Mayo will only treat Mastocytosis .. so they may have tested her for that and said, "Nope, all clear!"

MCAS and mastocytosis are treated in the same manner.
