Has anyone used an infrared mat to reduce inflammation and help detox? A friend suggested it to me but good ones are expensive.
Would appreciate any feedback—good or bad—as well as what brand/type of mat you used.
Thanks.

I considered an infrared mat when I was at my sickest. But I found it expensive. I ended up buying a tent infrared sauna instead. It was less money at the time.
Now they suggest that it needs to be near infrared to be the best. Well, I can't afford the best then. My sauna is far.
I found it helps me with muscle pain and pain in my hands. I also sleep better after a session. I do not use it frequently at this point.

We purchased a good Far Infrared Mat (amethyst) eight years ago for our son who has chronic pain hoping it would help him. It did not relieve the pain.
I think it cost about $450 back them - not cheap and was a lot of money for us to spend.
