“Researchers Identify New Therapeutic Target For Lyme Disease”
The target is LDH…. More specifically LDHA (alpha chain).
“Berberine inhibits LDHA”. Lactic acid dehydrogenase which I explained recently in another post - how Bb uses this enzyme.
WARNING
Dihydroberberine is highly bioavailable. Dihydro = 2 hydrogens.
The green capsules with a 4.6 rating on Amazon suggested dose is 4 capsules.
Be prepared to blow away family members due to excessive flatus. Not joking. I did not have this happen with “regular” Berberine - even doses of Up to 1500mg.
My suggestion if you chose to try this ***with your doctor’s okay, *** is to start with lower doses before dinner and TAKE PROBIOTICS and yougart/kefir also at the same time.
The sustained release ones have a significantly lower rating and more side effects reported by customers.
BTW
HBOT also is known to lower LDHA according to AI when I typed in “HBOT LDHA”

Interesting. I have read many accounts of regular Berberine causing gi upset. But that Bihydroberberine was much better tolerated.
Our population has a lot of metabolic disease. This supplement is great for blood sugar control. Equal to Metformin from what I have read.
