I have an URGENT need for a LL OB-Gyn anywhere near VA or Hamilton, Ontario.
My 21 year old daughter was diagnosed with Lyme about a month ago (positive results for Lyme and babesia.) Her LLMD referred her to hyperbaric treatment since she is sensitive to both penicillan and sulfa drugs. However, two weeks ago we learned that she is about 11 weeks pregnant, and her doctor has made it clear that she must begin treatments immediately.
I am praying that we will find a LL Dr. for her near home or near the treatment facility as her current OB-Gyn has referred her for genetic testing the end of January and strongly discouraged her from seeking any kind of treatment before those tests are done. Needless to say, she and her husband are confused and overwhelmed and I am eager for her to get accurate info. as quickly as possible.

For Online Doctor Referrals, click on the following URL for the Lyme Disease Association Doctor Referral page:

http://www.lymediseaseassociation.org/Doctor_Referrals.html
(1-888-366-6611).

I didn't see any LL OB mds listed on either list. You can try above OR

Look at the support groups, left hand side, for your state, and CALL SUPPORT GROUP LEADER to inquire . Many are too sick to reply by emails.

Best wishes to you all.

I'd also suggest copying your post into MEDICAL and asking for help there;

topic line: 11 wks. pg; dx w/lyme, HELP!

then paste your story THAT I BROKE up above to it. Go to lower left hand corner and mark the box to receive ALL REPLIES to your post.

Perhaps someone can assist you that way, but you can do both of the above suggestions too! [group hug] [kiss]
