Looking for the scoop on Lyme doctors in the Seattle area or nearby -- not just names, but feedback on who's good. Ready to go IV, have been having a hard time finding a doctor both knowledgeable and caring. Can't be too much to ask, right?!
Wishing us all the healing we need,
JF

- Check with Bastyr Naturopathic University, ask specifically for their suggestions of any ILADS educated LL NDs (naturopathic doctors) but also for any LLMDs as they often work together.
Make it clear, though, that you are seeking not just who may be connected with them but also who they might recommend outside. I know of at least one excellent ILADS educated LL ND who used to be on faculty at Bastyr but think she now is in private practice.
Bastyr has a clinic so you may be able to get some parts of treatment at lower cost, though, only a small percentage of their clinic staff would be LL, so don't assume they all are across the board. -

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for WA.
Your best bet would be to contact the WA Lyme Support Groups listed below - they would know better.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
