i could hardly walk because of my lyme pain when i went into surgery 11 days ago. when i woke up it was all gone. and it stayed gone for 10 days. yesterday i had hints of it caoming back. when i woke up today no question-same old body back. same paine-same dizziness-same fatigue. what an experience to be in a body that didn't hurt (except the incision).

i'm pretty sure it was just that the pain meds for the surgery covered up the lyme pain...but it just makes me wonder. do i really need my knees replaced? do i really need surgery on both thumbs? should i take the zoloft they want me to take for the dizziness?

the nsaid i took after surgery is only supposed to be taken for 5 days because it is hard on your liver. but the lyme drugs i take (took) are hard on my liver too. i wonder if i could keep taking this nsaid (ketorolac) if i kept getting m y liver tested and stuff. it just felt so wonderful to be a part of the human race-to just "be" and not be wracked with pain.

not this time-i begged for them since they used them two yrs ago when i had my gall bladder out...but since they didn't this time and the other thing that was the same is the ketorolac---i'm pretty sure it is that. it is a strong anti-inflammatory (pattilynn-on my post in medical- said it worked as well as morphine-i don't know if she is a doc or nurse or what but she works in an er)

so i have woken up a second day in my all too familiar lyme pain...and i am trying to make some sense of this---make lemonade so to speak...oh, man what a bummer. what a tease to feel no pain for 10 days.

well-i guess it confirms my pain is from inflammation which fits -esp with my having the bad gene etc-and i can be reasurred i am not imagining this or that zoloft will cure me...blah blah blah so sick of the regular docs. i see my llmd 2/28---he's so far away now and i love my visits with him...just being treated with respect and not made to feel stupid-i think i might write and say could i just do the ketorolac one time a week or something....and test my liver and kidneys regularly...i totally trust him...i will do what he says.

stupid things i did when i "felt no pain???"

-spent $200. on yarn cuz it didn't hurt to knit and i have been wanting to knit sooooooo much. it was one of the things i put off while working and raising my kids while i fought lyme...and of course when i finally retired my hands were too painful

-signed up for yoga and pilates and riding lessons...yeah...i was kinda high on not feeling pain...manic probably describes it better

thanks for writng tree-i'll be off my pity pot soon...

you can take milk thistle for liver health. i take it almost everyday because my levels sometimes go up a bit.

i take it with my acidophius.

sorry you're not feeling well again.

going up and down really stinks
