Many of you don't really know Gary...
He doesn't post here often, but prefers to ask questions `behind the scenes'.
But, he is a dear man, dealing with lyme and the problems associated there.
Last night, his beloved dog passed away.
`Tootsie' was his world...and couldn't have been more loved or cared for by Gary.
We all know how our animals are a part of our families...and when they pass, it is as if they take a part of us too...
Please, keep Gary in your thoughts and prayers as he goes through this very difficult time.
Thank you all so much,
Melanie

Hope things improve soon.....remember that this too shall pass.

Take care, and just know that many here understand completely!
"shy".....that was priceless!

Gary, sorry for your loss.
I am sorry to hear of your beloved Tootsie's passing.
When my husband and I had to put down our sheltie, Nathan, six years ago, a good friend sent the following to me. I have stored it way since until now. I hope it may bring you some comfort.

The Rainbow Bridge
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There always is food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals become young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special humans who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one pet suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears go up! The eyes stare! And then, that pet suddeny turns from the group!
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her into your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Heaven is a nice place to be while waiting for your friends...
We had to put our Christy down last month.
Had her for fifteen years so I know what you are going through.
I try to remember she is in a better place.
Hugs,
Nancy
