I'm a newbie, and I didn't get all the info clear yet. Why no aerobic exercise? None at all? What is acceptable. What have you all found helpful?

My understanding is the point is not getting exhausted.

Dr. Burrasco's guidelines include discussion on this in Physical Therapy section of his paper.
You can find that on internet.

Best Wishes.

I'm still a bit confused about this myself, and I'd love to hear others' personal experiences re exercise.

Prior to my dx, I was swimming almost a mile a day. Now, I couldn't even imagine all the energy it would take to put on a bathing suit, much less driving to the center, swimming, etc.

But I was thinking of taking something like tai chi. I was also wondering about strength training -- simple weight exercises.

Again, I'd be grateful for anyone's expericnes -- not just what worked for you but when (in the course of treatment) you started.

Thanks for posting this, as I was just about to --

Andie
