what amount of magnesium is recommended? i hear alot of people talking about how beneficial it is. i use a powder that you dissolve in water, and it does seem to help some, but maybe i need to take more. i think a dose is 400 mg and i take one dose per day. thanks

I take 1000 mg of magnesium malate chelate in tablet form- pony size tablets-as in small horse pills. I know nothing about powder form. I started taking ony 500 but had to double it for continuing leg cramps.

My LLMD said 900-1200 mg a day, in split doses. If you take it all togeteher, your body won't observe it.

It's recommended to slowly increase and stop increasing when your stool gets loose. You can increase again when your bowels adjust.
