I can't say what, why, or anything else specific because of the circumstances.
He needs spiritual intervention, asap. As do those advocating for his welfare.
The situation is akin to the LLMD cases - beurocracy stomping the life out of what is his right, facing agregious acts of malice.
Please send any such intervention his way. The last time we requested this, he was near death. Now - his future health and welfare is on the line, despite all he has managed to overcome.
God knows he is in desperate need. These kids need support and protection.

Dearest Miss M,
Please know that you, Mr. R, and Miss E are in my thoughts and prayers.
You have been such an incredible inspiration to so many with your ongoing battle for your precious little ones.
I have been in awe of you for many years now.
Not only with your personal ability to overcome the most dreadful challenges, but also with your most generous ability to educate and enlighten others going through simular experiences.
Know that I am here IF there is ANYTHING that I can possibly do to assist.
Much love as always, Melanie

Thanks very much for this thread and all the support it holds.
Things have gone from bad to worse over the last couple of days, but we are focusing on keeping the faith.
I made a gesture of weariness. It is absurd to look for a well, at random, in the immensity of the desert. But nevertheless we started walking.
When we had trudged along for several hours, in silence, the darkness fell, and the stars began to come out. Thirst had made me a little feverish, and I looked at them as if I were in a dream. The little prince's last words came reeling back into my memory:
"Then you are thirsty, too?" I demanded.
But he did not reply to my question. He merely said to me:
"Water may also be good for the heart . . ."
I did not understand this answer, but I said nothing. I knew very well that it was impossible to cross-examine him.
He was tired. He sat down. I sat down beside him. And, after a little silence, he spoke again:
"The stars are beautiful, because of a flower that cannot be seen."
I replied, "Yes, that is so." And, without saying anything more, I looked across the ridges of sand that were stretched out before us in the moonlight.
"The desert is beautiful," the little prince added.
And that was true. I have always loved the desert. One sits down on a desert sand dune, sees nothing, hears nothing. Yet through the silence something throbs, and gleams . . .
"What makes the desert beautiful," said the little prince, "is that somewhere it hides a well . . ."
I was astonished by a sudden understanding of that mysterious radiation of the sands. When I was a little boy I lived in an old house, and legend told us that a treasure was buried there. To be sure, no one had ever known how to find it; perhaps no one had ever even looked for it. But it cast an enchantment over that house. My home was hiding a secret in the depths of its heart . . .
"Yes," I said to the little prince. "The house, the stars, the desert--what gives them their beauty is something that is invisible!"
"I am glad," he said, "that you agree with my fox."
As the little prince dropped off to sleep, I took him in my arms and set out walking once more. I felt deeply moved, and stirred. It seemed to me that I was carrying a very fragile treasure. It seemed to me, even, that there was nothing more fragile on all Earth. In the moonlight I looked at his pale forehead, his closed eyes, his locks of hair that trembled in the wind, and I said to myself: "What I see here is nothing but a shell. What is most important is invisible . . ."
As his lips opened slightly with the suspicion of a half-smile, I said to myself, again: "What moves me so deeply, about this little prince who is sleeping here, is his loyalty to a flower--the image of a rose that shines through his whole being like the flame of a lamp, even when he is asleep . . ." And I felt him to be more fragile still. I felt the need of protecting him, as if he himself were a flame that might be extinguished by a little puff of wind . . .
And, as I walked on so, I found the well, at daybreak.

Mo, may you find the strength to carry on and may the pain and stress of whatever you and your son are dealing become much easier to bear and overcome.
Along with whatever you are fighting, there has been a full moon and "nor'easter" with it's barometric issues,so you have dealt with the effects of them too.
Hugs, lymemomtooo

Why?
Why do we go from facing one beurocracy to another, and then another.
What are we teaching our children by fighting within the systems - for what? What is there for them of value? What is there to truly nurture them? How can we (or more importantly, they) benefit from this battle? Is it all a mirage, after all? Maybe the reason is -- we need to come to see what really matters.
If I could offer them anything, it would be a way out. A way to be free. Our Lyme kids are uniquely profound. Let them stay that way and grow from their incredibly advanced souls.
Screw the systems - it's all connected. Medical, societal, and other. Do we want them growing up like the rest? What is normal, anyway? Maybe that's the true lesson in this for all of us. Above all else, just be the support to set them free.

Mo, none of us know the answers..We just ramble on and try to experiement within the boundaries that seem to be set in stone.
If we cross the boundaries, it is very scary for most..Sometimes it works and sometimes it is dangerous..
When we teach our kids to follow the path of least resistence, sometimes we may be helping them but sometimes we are not just teaching comformity, and law abiding, we are teaching ways to fit in and survive.
It is difficult to know how to answer some of your issues, not knowing them but YES, there are times when you take that turn at the fork in the road, and make your own path and it is a good choice. ANd your child may learn a lot more on that trail.
But with our kids there are risks to any path..We have no plan book to follow and a misturn could ultimately become tragic..That is always my fear..
Prayers and hugs are sent your way Mo..lymemomtooo

Mo- You are in my thoughts. I wrote you sort of long private message day before yesterday, which I promptly sent to someone else. duh
The system only works for those who fit within the system and they fit within the system because they don't have problems. Or the issues that they do have can be neatly diagnosed and compartmentalized. And the people who really need help and sometimes could do very well with just a bit of the right assistance are treated horribly.
Our kids just don't fit any of the "boxes" available, it seems.
I think you are way on to something with the idea that our kids will benefit from learning young that they can be proud of who they are aside from the accomplishments, stuff, popularity, fill in the blank. Such an important lesson. But so EXCRUCIATING to have to learn life lessons and the harshness of this world at such a young age when they should be having some fun and enjoyment.
We have been forced on to a very non-traditional path and I do enjoy going outside of the lines to "stick it to the man" (even if it is because we got stuck first and many many times)
I am taking time right now to pray for your family to be guided to the right support and for all to stay safe. We are in a battle and we are with you.

GRACE As we go through the journey of life we face many challenges. We do not always understand why we have hills to clime or rough roads to go down but God know our strengths. With His grace He will walk with us and if need be carry us through. In times of trouble He is there to comfort us and sends us people to hold our hand and pray for us. He will lift us up in times of sorrow and despair to fill our hearts and lives with joy and love. If we look back on the roads we have went down and look at all the hills and mountains we have had to climb we will see were God was there to hold our hand through it all. In all trials big or small He is there over seeing with His amazing grace and love.

thanks everybody
things are not at all clear at the moment, but the support will help i'm sure!
just heard an andicdote about mother theresa ..
when asked to attend anti-War rallies, she always decilines -
and says; if you have a pro-Peace rally, i'll be there.
~~ that which you resist, persists ~~
put your energy on what's right, not fighting what's wrong -- that only gives more energy to the negative.
no mater how it 'looks' - things will work out if you focus on what you need as tho it is already here. in that, the right steps will unfold. that's what we're going with .............
