Hi phyl,
I am off all meds and supps right now after having a drug reaction to Bactrim DS on July 4.
I hope to be back on an antibiotic, etc soon since my pain and stiffness got worse after I was off of them for 2 weeks.
Thanks for asking.

Sorry to hear about your reaction, hope you find one that works. Treatment gets discouraging when it doesn't work or our body reacts .
I have been off all treatment for a couple of weeks as nothing seemed to be working but like you the pain, soreness, bone aches are getting worse so going to try again.
This disease is really scary as we are all different and no one's treatment is the same or works the same. I read these horror stories about abx not working and wonder where I will be a few years from now. Sometimes I think I am as good as I am going to be , that I will accept its getting worse that is scaring me.
Take care and keep me posted. hugs

Doxy does work for me, I just can't take it in the summer.
I should be able to take it in about a month when the sun isn't strong in PA anymore.
Please don't give up hope, phyl, you haven't treated very long at all.

Doxycycline (ceftin for a weak stomach or sun exposure) constantly and rotating every two weeks between metronidazol and biaxin has worked wonders for my wife and I.

Phyl, my antibiotics that have worked for 5 years stopped working recently - well, 5 years was a pretty good run.
I am now checking out the Buhner herbs, from his book, "Healing Lyme." They treat Lyme and co-infections. I tested my first one this week, teasel, and it did very well. So just wanted to let you know there's other protocals out there, like Cowden, Zhang and others too.
Hi to you too, Dek.

Dekrator - Thanks so much for posting the link "Under Our Skin" It was the 1st time I saw it.
You know, i've had the movie for some time now and haven't watched it. After having lyme for over 20 years, I knew I needed to watch it but was afraid at the same time.
I'm glad I finally saw it. yes, it does bring tears to my eyes, and rightfully so. But, we are all in this together and at least know that, makes it easier to go through.
Thanks again - Donna

Finally finished watching this. Wow. I'm glad they showed some successful cases in there or else I would be really depressed right now. Definitely needed a box of kleenex to go along with watching it.

Actually... I feel like a wussy after watching what those people have gone through. Here I am complaining about not being able to figure out and stick to the diet. Sure puts things into perspective.
