There are so many, but let me see if I can remember at least some of them.
Lymetoo--the best, always on the boards, knows a lot Sixgoofy--same with tutu Tincup--see here and there, a great source bcb1200 randibear James1979--a real fun addition TF--same with tutu momintexas Keebler and Chiquita Incognita
I know there are more. But, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate these folks being here. This is a quite a journey and the light at end of tunnel would not be there if it wasn't for these people.
Thanks again.

Amen, mom!
Thanks for mentioning me. I am honored. I really enjoy being here and can't break an old habit!! I learn so much here from everyone!
I have met Melanie Reber, just don, and others who no longer post here. I missed a golden chance to meet MADDOG, charlie, and Tincup about 5 yrs ago. Still sad about that!!
I would like to meet momintexas, penguingirl, Dekrator, daisy, MDW and everyone else on "God Thought."
I THINK I'd like to meet James.. but that's a scary thought!! And randibear too. OK, who did I leave out? How about "lou", LouB, jackie51, and OF COURSE, Sixgoofy!!! Would really like to meet her since we talk all the time. Same with momintexas. Oh .. and Robin123, merrygirl, sometimesdilly, Rene, map1311!!
Also, Silverwolf and hubby, kam, Aklnwlf, and everyone on the Exercise thread!
Thanks to all who help out here and work hard to lift the spirits of others!

I don't think I'm cool enough to be on that list, but thanks for remembering me anyway!
I'm actually pretty dorky in "real life". I'm usually a serious person, and I very rarely tell jokes. I don't know why I get all goofy when I'm writing on the Internet! Maybe it's like some kind of "alter ego" or something.
But, if anyone is ever in the Chicago area - come on over! I'd love to meet everyone, especially the frequent posters. If we get two or three together, maybe we could have a party. I'll be serving lemon-detox drinks and dried wakaame chips.
I don't like to share my picture with anybody, because once the girls see how handsome I am, I'm afraid they'll start befriending me for superficial reasons. Posted by momintexas (Member # 23391) on :
Awww Jackie - thank you and ditto!
Tutu - I feel like I've known you for 20 years!
There are SO many people on here that I'd love to meet as well.
Everyone on this board is so supportive and I'm so grateful to have found this site.
Sending special hugs to ALL of the moms (and dads) with sick children on this site.
I wish we could figure out a way for all of us to meet with our kids somewhere. It would be nice for them to gather with other kids that understand what they are going through.
I appreciate all of you for the advice and support you have shared with me. I've made some wonderful friends here.

Yep. Names come to my mind right now but health is too low to type them out.
When I first got sick, I had this idea that I would some day travel across the USA and meet some of the people from lymenet.
Got to met Just Don and Ms Melanie in person a couple of years ago. health was OK but not really doing well enough to do that talking thing or have a regular conversation.
I met some people when I went down the hill to go to visit some who were doing hyperbaric (sp) oxygen when I first moved to AZ but darn if I can recall who it was and what they look like.
Met Karen in person and she drove me to see my doc in CA in 2006 or 2007. Bless her. Last time I saw my LLMD>
She also helped me get my power chair that was donated to me and I have used daily since 2006 or 2007 I think.

Yes Lymetoo - I would love to thank and meet you too! We could have a clarinet party.
James - I would love to join your lemon detox drink party. I'll bring the cultured vegetables that look kind of sketchy but not moldy, haha, jk.

Youngsters! Yer soft! That's yer problem!
When I was young, we had to hitch a ride to the city or some crazy field, then walk 5 miles in the snow, uphill each way, to see a Rock concert. And we were zonked off our gourds!
Now you've got yer YouTube and yer iTunes and yer Lollapalalala.
Yer soft! You wouldn't know Rock if one fell on yer head! And you wouldn't see it comin', neither, cuz you'd be "texting!"
And don't get me started on the sweet sounds of vinyl. Our record collections took up half our bedrooms! And our hi-fi's took up the other half! We had to sleep curled up in our beanbag chairs!
Not now, with yer crazy iPods! So small, you kin never find 'em. An' when ya do, it's cuz yer sittin' on one!
We EARNED our hearing loss by shovin' thru the mayhem to dance our patoots off in front of amps stacked so high, they disappeared into great swirlin' clouds of smoke! Next day, yer ears would ring so loud, an' yer Ma would yell at ya good fer stayin' out so late, but ya didn't care.
I tell you what, Son, that wuz LIVIN'!

"Worse,'' came the reply. "Now he thinks he's dead."

Hey, since I mentioned the PMS joke, I should also post the health news that was written underneath the joke in the newsletter I got:
quote:Consuming foods with higher levels of the B vitamins thiamine and riboflavin may reduce the incidence of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) by about 35%, suggest new findings from a recent study.
As thiamine and riboflavin are known to play important roles in the synthesis of various neurotransmitters involved in PMS, the link between B vitamins and PMS makes physiological sense.
Men - try to be graceful as you suggest to your wives to supplement with thiamine and riboflavin. How is this: "Honey, you look like you could really use some thiamine... and maybe some riboflavin also. I can see it in your cheeks."?? You think that'd work? Posted by Robin123 (Member # 9197) on :

.................................................. Be nice, James and Fuel! After all, this IS a support site and a lot of women with Lyme have increased pms difficulties.
Me, I'm just speaking in solidarity, since Lyme took care of that problem for me by eating my hormones for lunch, and I don't miss it at all!
Posted by James1979 (Member # 31926) on :
Well, since there are so many chicks on this forum, I guess I'll post another then:
quote:The 5 Definitive Signs of PMS are: 1. Everyone around you has an attitude problem. 2. You're adding chocolate chips to your cheese omelet. 3. The dryer has shrunk every last pair of your jeans. 4. Your husband is suddenly agreeing to everything you say. 5. You're convinced there's a God and he's male.
And then here's what the health newsletter said underneath this joke:
quote:A mixture of essential fatty acids (EFAs) was shown to significantly improve the symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome.
Only two EFAs are known to be crucial for human health: alpha-linolenic acid which is an omega-3 fatty acid and linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. Other fatty acids that are only considered to be "conditionally essential" include gamma-linolenic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, lauric acid which is a saturated fatty acid, and palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid.

quote:A lady from a foreign country who could not understand much English wasn't feeling well and went to see her doctor. After examining her he said, "You are pregnant. Please understand that you have an insufficient passage and if you have a baby it will be a miracle."
The lady rushed home crying and told her husband, "The doctor says I'm pregnant and I have a fish in the passage and if I have a baby it will be a mackerel!"
There we go. That one was more politically correct, huh? Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Fuel - you are SOOOO cheating! I can't believe you sank to such levels! And look at the number you gave yourself: 21,000?! At least if you had made it look less like a clean even number, it might've been more believable!
Tutu - Well, it was difficult to find it, because I had to dig through all the other posts were you were bashing my persona. But what I did was I went to your "profile" page and viewed your recent posts. Then I guessed that maybe it was on the thread where everyone was congratulating you for reaching 60,000 posts, because I hadn't read that thread in its entirety.
And sure enough, there it was where you were saying how cool everyone on LymeNet is, except for James.
The thing I'm jealous about is that they gave you a celebration for reaching 60,000 posts, but I got diddly squat when I reached 1,500. What's going on here? 1,500 is a nice clean number! It's divisible by both 2 AND 5! How come nobody gave me a celebration, or parties, or fireworks like they did for you?
Well... 1,500 isn't as clean as Fuel's 21,000... but when a number is THAT clean, then I start to get a little suspicious, you know? Posted by Robin123 (Member # 9197) on :
Fuel, you just made me laugh with your new posting number - so, a techie, eh? Why don't you live up to your name and put another zero after your newest count and really make James and Lymetoo work out to catch up!

Being as I get blood plasma on a regular basis, I consider myself a regular bondafide Lymepire.

Fuel, man, I got a big problem. I really need your help this time. I don't know what to do, and I'm starting to get really worried.
It's my eyes... it seems there's something wrong with my eyes. I can't really explain it. It's like everything is super blurry all of the sudden. Especially when I'm reading small things like digits or numbers, I'm having trouble making out the numbers.
So here's where I need your help: Since I can't read it myself - can you please tell me what my post count is? I would really like to know.
Thanks a lot for your help.

James - First off welcome to LN. I see you are a newbie with the number of posts you have. Great to meet you!
Eye symptoms and Lyme go hand in hand. Please see the link below for eye topics...
Fantastic Fuel! James you have met your match! LOL

This will be a tough one for James to beat!

I got no problem with yours. Yours is actually kinda cute.
But, for example, have you seen Scorpio's? It's... well.... um.... it's...
I don't know how to say it.
Posted by scorpiogirl (Member # 31907) on :
You know you love mine so you might as well admit it! Lol

I can't believe I just saw this thread for the first time.
I've met a few here ... vermontlymie was the first I met on the streets in NYC.
I met AmyC and MADDOG at Under Our Skin in Dayton.
I met steelbone, SForsgren and m0joey in Germany, along with several other Lymies who were there.
There are so many more I'd like to meet! Is there a gala next year? That would be fun!
Oh, and James, I do make it up to Chicago every once in a while.

What, exactly, is "it"?
How can I love "it" if I don't know what "it" is?
One thing I know for sure: I still laugh every time I see it! That is THE silliest... THING! Whatever it is.

My house is always open! You're welcome to stop by at any time. Bring the whole family! I would love to meet your husband, because he looks like a very happy person.
I have a cool house, and there's lots of cool stuff to do around here.

It's not that I particularly don't like your penguin. Your penguin is alright... on ONE post. Okay? So like if you pasted your penguin on ONE post, then we can say: "Hey, PG, that's a cool penguin! Thanks for sharing it! It moves a lot, but thank God it's only on one post! That way we don't have to see it on every thread of the forum! That was a great idea to only post it once, in only one post!"
You get what I'm saying?
But man... at least it's not weird.... like that other one! Posted by James1979 (Member # 31926) on :

- gee.. you're so honest today!
Penguin... keep the penguin so you can annoy James
Six.. I've been telling you (and others) that you are missing stuff over here!! I have to show up over here in self-defense of Lymenet! Posted by penguingirl (Member # 28688) on :
How about this one? It is smaller.
I might have to find a in between penguin.. this one is microscopic. The sunglass one is a bit large I think (as a signature).
There are not enough penguin smilies out there!!

It looks like it got lost in a snowdrift! Bring back Miss Penguin with some style...

Oh my goodness, PG! That is AWESOME! You could even double the size and it still wouldn't be annoying!
If there was a "friend's list" feature on this forum, I would totally add you to it now. You would be getting a request like: "James1979 is requesting to be your friend!"
And Scorpiogirl would be getting: "James1979 has added you to his block list." HA HA HA HA HA! Posted by James1979 (Member # 31926) on :
Oops, my new one is a little big now. I'll just shrink it a little later.

OK, this is SO NOT from The Godfather...Avatar maybe.
I think we should start counting how many threads James has hijacked. No wonder his post numbers are so high.

Does anyone know who I can contact to give a recommendation for the Nobel Laureate? I really think 17hens might have a good chance this year.
Also I highly recommend you read the book. And if your children are still young and innocent ("young and innocent" = oxymoron), then it might be good for you to read the book to them too.

Oh, The Little Prince...I was going to guess James and the Giant Peach!

SCOTT FORSGREN - I followed him closely in 2008 when I learned my pile of symptoms were due to Lyme. Then I followed him, a few months later, to Pforsheim, Germany.
Had good fortune to meet Scott in person at a Lyme & Autism Conference in Arizona a couple years ago.
Scott, I am better largely due to following your your Path, advise and Newsletters.
Hugs and Tremendous THANKS!
Am still dealing with Hypersensitivity to EMF's. Hard to do anything except stay home. Am seldom on the computer, so it is a joy to tell someone hello, and Thanks.
Also wish to thank the same crew above, plus BeJoy, Rachelle, Gigi, Nancy in S.F., LeeAnn in Ark., Six and would love to meet more folks here in Arizona. Forgive me for not mentioning you if I owe you Thanks...recall is still challenged --
THANKS to all who post. You were ALL my lifelines!
Best to You All, Grace

Tutu, I know .... and I'm negligent, mostly because of my limited time here. I'm only here now because I'm taking a dinner break from painting ... and from 9-3 I was at the pilates studio for training. Don't know how I'll paint since my arms are like spaghetti.
James, thanks for the invitation!! I haven't been up there in a couple years, so we're due to go sometime soon!! We love Chicago, there is a ton to do there!!
Hubby is a happy guy. He showed up at the pilates studio. I'm in training all weekend .... we took the opportunity to use him as a test client to give us a break. He's a good sport.

James.. tell this old person what the heck your new graphic is.. I can't see it!!! Posted by Dogsandcats (Member # 28544) on :
Lymetoo - barfing broccoli-yes, that is what James graphic is... or barfing kale from his batch the other day.
Posted by penguingirl (Member # 28688) on :
Lol D&C.
Tutu - it is a tree.. but yes it can look like broccoli or kale, lol.
Posted by 17hens (Member # 23747) on :
Tutu, D&C,
See my post from 11:47 this morning? James explained his little signature pic to me right after that so keep reading.
Was he being all mean to me or nice? Can't tell...
Still think it's from James and the Giant Peach!
Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
Hmmm... where did I see that???
Looks like a racoon in the middle of the broccoli... Posted by randibear (Member # 11290) on :

What's going on here? I leave for a short period of time, and when I come back it looks like the French Revolution! Man, I gotta take my moderation responsibilities more seriously now.
First off: Do you guys think my siggy pic is too large? I could make it smaller if it bothers anyone. I think the big pics are annoying, because they make every thread longer.
17hens - James and the Giant Peach is another good one! I completely forgot about that book! I think when I was a kid they made some kind of cartoon out of that book, and it was "revolutionary" because of it's graphics. Now it probably looks like a joke because of it's poor graphics. But I don't remember it.
You asked "was he being mean to me or nice"? Come on! I've never been mean to anyone on this entire forum EVER! Not even to Scorpio when she put that freaky thing on her siggy line!
I'm always usually just joking around. I never intend to be rude or mean to anyone.
Lymetoo have you figured it out yet? Did you read the book? I think you would really like it! I'm not kidding!
Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
I minored in Spanish, not French... so nope.
oh... I read that a long time ago. Don't even remember much of it. Thanks for pushing me to look it up! Posted by Dekrator48 (Member # 18239) on :
I had to Google James's signature line and here is what I found for others that were also clueless:

(((hugs))) to Friend James. Yes, you are kind and fun. We all love you. No worries. I'll relax.
Roald Dahl wrote James and the Giant Peach. He also wrote BFG (my fav!), Twits, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc.
My son's favorite author way back when. He still has his collection.
One year we were in OC, MD, laying on the beach. Both my kids, almost in unison, looked down toward the Kite Loft (our favorite shop in OC) and exclaimed, "Mom, it's the BFG!"
And there, flying up in the sky, was a huge "man," all stretched out with his arms above his head, fluttering in the wind. It must have been the BFG for sure! Great memory...
Now look who's hijacking this thread! Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :
Relish, transmissions and shot guns.
Thought I'd add a few more topics to this mix! HA!
