CD57. Not only did she not order...duh....she never heard of
it. Now the best part was this statement. " It sounds like
you had Lyme Disease years ago when you were bit, but
it went away. I replied "Once you have it, it never goes.
away. " Furthermore, I didn't know back then, what I
know today. Yes, so I now wait for my LLND appt Dec.2
Today's humorous...doctor...think not!

Doesn't surprise me that she never heard of it. They simply do NOT want to treat Lyme. Period.
Good luck with the next Dr!! Posted by Keebler (Member # 12673) on :
- No humor at all. But glad you were at least somewhat prepared. Your reputation now, in your file, will be marked so expect to be at an arm's length with any other doctor who sees your file before they see your face (which is always the case).
Likely, the distinction of "difficult patient" is your new inside-the-chart-cover code. This is typical "protocol" so just be aware.
I would not spend any money on a CD 57, though. It's not worth it unless you are swimming in cash (it's not very helpful in most cases and is not at all specific for any infection), especially before you even get in to see a LLMD for full assessment. -

My ID "humor" (if you can call it that) actually came from this site. The night before an ID appointment (almost 2 years ago) someone here posted ID was a waste of time because all they say is "We followed all the protocols, there's nothing we can do".
I went to my appointment where the ID quack promptly ignored everything I told her and uttered these exact words......."We followed all the protocols, there's nothing we can do".
I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped, though I can't be sure because of that Bell's Palsy thing I had going on.....
