Hi.

I have been dipping my apples in sprouted, cold ground pumpkin seed butter.

Yum!

When I went to reorder, I thought I'd try some other weird butters.

I tried sprouted cold ground pili nut butter. Delicious! Looks and tastes like partially melted dark chocolate.

And sprouted cold ground apricot kernel butter. Delicious! Tastes a little like apple seeds with a hint of watermelon.

I didn't know what a pili nut was but a site I found said it was high in omega 3's and magnesium. All I know is it tastes like chocolate.

Does anyone else have fun or strange seed or nut butters to recommend for apple dipping?

Ha, I like my green Granny Smith apples w/ nut butter too,

and here I thought in funky CA I'd see things like this, but I haven't, just using almond, sesame seed or cashew butter.

I'd love the pumpkin seed one!

The pumpkin seed one is DEEE-lish!

And super smooth.

Sometimes I just have a spoon of pumpkin seed butter. Haha.

Good luck with the candida coming around the bend! [Smile]

Haha! What? How come? Because of the nut butters?

Greta, where do you order them from?

I never had any issues with nuts making candida worse.

Where are you getting these different nut butters? They sound yummy.

What is the sugar content on the label? Then add the sugar content of the apple.

Thank goodness it is a Granny Smith!

I have no affiliation. I just order my enema tubes, the nut butters and my coconut wraps from them. Used to order the kale chips too but lately haven't wanted kale.

Upaya Naturals

www.upayanaturals.com

The pili nut butter is made by them. It is the sweeter butter. Has cocnut sugar on the label. Has 3g of sugar for 2 TBSP serving. 3g protein.

The pumpkin seed butter and the apricot kernel butter are made by

Blue Mountain Organics

They have no added sugar.

2 TBSP of pumpkin seed butter is 0 grams sugar.
10g protein

2 TBSP of apricot kernel butter is 2 grams sugar
7g protein

They make a bunch of other fun nut butters. I had to reign myself in and not buy every one to try.

I dip apples, but I think these butters would be good on celery or other veggies too. (Except for the pili, because it is chocolatey).

Hmmm, not sure about how safe apricot kernal butter would be to eat.

That's true.

Pumpkin seeds are a great source of magnesium!

I wonder if a different part of the kernel is used?

Because apricot kernel oil is used in a ton of natural cosmetics creams and lotions...

If we were putting cyanide on our bodies we'd all be toast.

I am going to write them [Smile]

Tohum is the best tahini (sesame butter) I have ever had. It is the color of peanut butter. It used to be available at whole foods... Now you can just get it online and very expensive... But shipping is even more expensive. But if you can find it it's worth it.
