I think this site explains the use of Anxiety Medication very well. You'll also find other helpful information on this site. Sure others if you have any. We know a lot of members are using these.http://www.helpguide.org/mental/anxiety_medication_drugs_treatment.htm Steve

I couldn't make it without my anxiety meds.. The best thing I did for myself was to give in and take after many naturals failed.. Its no cure by any means but it helps to cope with all the nasty symptoms of chronic lyme.

- Also to consider that anxiety is very often related to magnesium deficiency (and that's very common with lyme): http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=123746;p=0 Topic: MAGNESIUM - LINKS sets Certain food additives can also cause or exacerbate anxiety: http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=029690;p=0 Excitotoxins; MSG; Aspartame; & "Natural" Flavors (that are not likely natural at all). Since lyme attacks the HPA axis (adrenal - hypothalamus - adrenal triangle) . . . that can cause anxiety of high proportions. What helps: http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/89790 Topic: NATURAL SLEEP & ADRENAL SUPPORT And the toxicity of lyme, along, can send anxiety to the moon. Even for those unable to fully treat, liver support is essential to help keep anxiety soothed:http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=030792;p=0 LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too. -
