Hi everyone, My llmd has started me on one bicillin shot weekly and 250mgs. of zithro everyday for 3mnths....
anyone else been on this type of treatment? Did it help? How ad were the herxes?
I have stomache problems as it is and I'm worried about the zithro? My spinal fluid came back normal so she said I didn't need to go on the picc line!!!!!!!!
I start tomm. and I am really scared of the herxes... trying to look at this pos. because I tend to have myself doomed before I actually am
It may go well...I know, I know, the herxes mean the traetment is working and that IS why I am doing this...Right?
anyway, I'd love to hear from someone who has experienced this combo....thanx, Jamie

Jamie,
It's a good combination. The dosages seem kind of "entry level" but that should make the herxes more tolerable. Depending on how long you have been ill and other factors, you may need to increase both. I take Bcillin three times a week and 500 mg of Biaxin twic a day. Before the Biaxin, I took 1000 mg. of Zithromax once a day. Both of these combinations can cause significant herxes but, ultimately give a lot of good outcomes, hang in.

David's right, it's a good combo, and the zith does seem low.
My daughter is on bicillin 2X a week, plus 500 zith a day. It makes a huge difference. I personally wouldn't spend a lot of time and energy worrying about the herxes.
