Good morning,
I am a patient at J. clinic. Their protocol is to take only one bottle of mepron, stop for a week (all meds), then begin mino and biaxin. later they will treat for babs again.

So many of you continue to take mepron through bottle after bottle, so which is right? I can't believe that one bottle of mepron will do the trick, yet that is what they told me to do.

Any thoughts about this? Oh the confusion of all of it!!
Thanks
Lymelady

Good morning..

I gotta laugh..

I KNEW this situation would "hit you" eventually... and you would be wanting to know WHY. I don't blame you a bit.

I would want to know too!

Thing is...

I have NO clue why they do that.

I do know I have offered them info (medical abstracts and such) in the past and was specifically told they didn't want it!

They indicated they were not interested.. and they already knew everything. ??

So... go figure.

Since they think they already "know it all"... maybe call THEM and ask why they do what they do?

I don't know of anywhere else that does this treatment this way... but there MAY be other places?

I wish I had a better answer.. but I really don't.

IF you find out.. please let us know. Maybe this is a better way?

Maybe not?

I know I was given too short a treatment the first time around.. and was pulled off the meds too soon.. and relapsed worse.

MANY others have done the same thing.

I wish YOU luck doing it this way. I HOPE with all my might that it works!

Anyhow... dear lady...

Feel better soon!

Tincup,
I have a refill on the mepron bottle, do you think i should just go ahead and continue? and stay on the clindamycin? Doesn't mepron have to be taken with someting else in order to work?

Thanks for reply, this is worrisome!!!! I mean doesn't J. Clinic have a great reputation, how can there be such a difference in treatment protocal?
