Ping,

I noticed you posted on the zithromax topic and wanted you to be officially welcomed.

I hope you don't mind.

Ping,

Welcome to this 24/7 support group board!
Here's TREEPATROL's and tincup's combination newbie links.
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/029917.html

Print off the links then check them off as you read as you could spend several months reading all of this.

print & read Dr. Barrascono's info first; you will come back to this often.

Betty G., Iowa

Kam, how sweet of you making us aware of another new member! Way to go KAM.

Hi Ping,

Welcome to Lymenet.

I saw your post about Mepron so I thought I'd leave you this helpful link entitled, "Mepron Buddies Update."

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/028499.html

Hope you might enjoy it.

I just learned that one life cyle of Babesia is 4 months. Even Dr. B.'s Treatment Guidelines say take it for 4 - 6 months.

I took Mepron & Zithromax only for 2 months.
I regret very much not adding in the herb ArtemisININ. You might want to research how best to take it. I understand it's quite strong; stronger than ArtemesIA that health food stores usually carry.

Your health food store may have to special order it.

Here's a link to a good price of ArtemisININ:

www.organic-pharmacy.com

This is the link on Lymenet where I found this herbal source:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/030471.html

Also, wanted to add that a side effect of Mepron is itching. I'm sure you're already taking it with a fatty food and taking a week off Mepron between bottles. Also, don't take with CoQ10.

You probably already know, but a good place to look up side-effects is:

www.Rxlist.com

or
www.drugdigest.org

Also, here are my 2 favorite handouts:

1. It's a 40+ page detailed symptom chart that shows how LD affects every body system. You'll probably find yourself in there!

It's complete with journal citations; it was handed out at our Support Group Meeting.

Here's the link below:

You'll need to scroll down the page to the to SYMPTOMS & click.

http://www.lymeinfo.net/lymefiles.html

2. Lyme - The Basics which our LLMD hands out to new patients.
http://www.lymepa.org/Basics2004v4_3.pdf

Hope this helps. Maybe Treepatrol will visit and leave you the comprehensive links for New Members.

Keep asking questions & tell us how we can help.

Take Care,
Jan

Recipegirl - such good info! Thanks very much. I have enough Mep for 6 months and will take it the full six months. yes, i'm skipping 7 days between bottles.

To everyone else, thanks for the warm and informative welcome.
