That is a lot to keep straight. What I've done when I've been on a lot of different things is just what you did here - make a schedule. I wrote it out and kept it with all my medicines so I could refer to it when I needed to. After a while I got better at remembering what to take when, but it's hard. Especially with brain fog and memory problems!
I am married to a transplant patient, you wanna talk about a lot of meds to keep track of, we should have stock in the pharmacutical company!!
I didn't count up how many times a day you take meds. But we have a pill organizer, that has a med dispenser for each day of the week, each with 4 compartments. We use it for his morning, noon, 5:00p.m, and evening meds. So there are 7 daily containers, each with the 4 compartments. We do his meds once a week on Sunday afternoon.
Someone gave him this organizer. I bet your drug store could help you locate one. Or maybe even online it could be ordered. This approach really makes our life much easier.
Initially we did the daily meds. Which was confusing and time consuming. So I can relate to how difficult it is to keep track of what meds and when. This way he also knows if he has taken a specific dose of if he has forgotten it.

I, too, have a pill organizer, definately get yourself one of these, it's a whole lot easier to fill it once a week, then to try to figure it out every day. You don't need the extra stress of trying to remember if you took them or not.
You can find them at your local drug store or even at some grocery stores.
Alot of them have a removable "daily" compartment you can remove, if you are going to be gone for the day, to take with you.
Good luck! ~laserred~

You don't want to see my list! I admit I don't do a very good job of separating things. I take alot of stuff at once. I'd never make it otherwise!

This sounds like a good, comprehensive treatment plan, similar to what I had. I kept a calendar-notebook, on each page of which I put a "med check-off tem[late"- a set of a small circle, square, and triangles of various orientations,. and occasionally other shapes/
the circle was for pharmaceutical abx- (at first I put an abbreviation for each med- but just got used to the position in the field after awhile) . A Square was for gse and ole. Triangles were supplements-- right side up for vits, upsidedown for sam-e and other joint aids, diamond for artimisinin and garlic and 'malarone'. So I knew how many checks should be in each shape. I had one ser of shapes for am and one for pm. Acidophilus was just the letter "A". For me this system worked well.
Well, I better zoom to see if I can see some birds without getting some ticks! DaveS

Newp, I swear Im not joking I really do this.
I could NEVER remember to take everything or I would skip a few things I needed to take and look at what I had left and think "no way".
I've put it in V8 quite a few times.

Actually that was helpful to see what people were taking. If others could list theirs as well, it would be very supportive. I will list mine after I wake up more. It isn't 7am yet. Thanks HK

I also use the pill organizer that has a seperate thing that comes out for every day, which 4 compartments each day. I have two, the blue one has medicine and herbal supplements, the green one has vits and minerals.
Here's my list. I'll admit, I'm not perfect at getting the mag and calcium in every day.
Wake up: Synthroid
Breakfast: (atleast one hour after Synthroid) Ketek Plaquenil Acyclovir Artemisinin
Lunch: Multi vitamin Calcium
Late afternoon: Artemisinin
Dinner: Plaquenil Acylcovir Diflucan Magnesium
Late Evening: Magnesium
Bed: Augmentin Flexeril
I've gotten bad with the probiotics. I've actually been completely yeast symptom free since starting Ketek.

All my bottles are lined up on the counter, in the order that I take em. Here's a tip from my RN sister who works in nursing homes -
Do what the old people do - take the pill, flip the bottle over.
When I'm not home, I use the pill organizer with the compartments. Easy to do with the bottles lined up.

Julie G.,
I do the flip over with my synthoid since basicly I'm still sleeping when I take it. That way when I wake up in the morning I'll know I took it.
How many bottles of stuff do you have? Does my regimin seem too much? or is it normal?

I really like the idea of sharing what meds/supps. we are taking. I will assemble mine shortly, but wanted to bump this up to hopefully keep the thought alive.
I get the feeling I am 'behind' on this issue big time. Nice thread!

Finally I have time to compile mine. I hope I don't forget anything important, which is what I am often feeling. ?This is part of the overwhelm. So glad we are sharing this...
100 mg doxycy 1 nystatin 150 mg rifampin all with food 4 X per day (rifam2X)
Now the fun begins...
3 reacted magnesium 1 Iodoral iodine/potassium 1 milk thistle 2 oz OsteoProCare 4 oz BodyBalance 2000+ Comprehensive C 2 Cascara Sagrada 1 Bio-bead (probiotic) Vit E Vit D 2 Coral Calcium 1 CoQ10 1 grapseed extract ??? Did I forbet something? That old - did I leave my child at the mall feeling...
B12 IM injection when I remember- hydroxylcobalamin
Used to do my Power green stuff shake with nuts and seeds, but appetite not great. Now I try to eat yoghurt.
If I am missing something important, please let me know. Also I read something perhsaps controversial about Vit D and doxy? and grapeseed extract vs grapefruitseed extract. Thanks. Ilene

Hey Heather,
The only things I see missing are
Vitamin C
Milk Thistle (you need to flush your liver and protect it from toxins)
Magnesium - why not take a lower dose more frequently. You can only absorb so much at once - the rest goes 'through you', so 250mg once a day isn't the optimum. And adding a lower dose right before bedtime will help you sleep better. But what do I know anyway..
And what type of multivitamin is it??

Julie,
ONE A DAY WOMENS MULTI. I used to take a fancy multi pack from the health food store but I got tired of all those pills. One a Day has been on sale for cheap lately.

a watch with an alarm set to sound-off at certain time intervals.
Gentle, but firm warning, desperate as we are: Paraphrasing a caveat I heard to use as a heuristic(rule of thumb):
The chances of a serious, if not life-threatening side-effect,and/or adverse reaction increase exponentially if taking more than 3 of a mixture of medicines, herb, dietary suppl., otc medicine, etc.
At 3 of any combination of the above items,it seriously taxes the ability of health professionals to determine whats causing what. My inference from someone quoting a study of mixing "this, that, and the other thing."
The number '3' is the only verbatim word I recall from 3-4 yr. ago.
Personally, anything over 3 items I consider a 100% chance something serious will occur, even if a herx were to occur at the same time.
We can best connect things that occur close in time, but rarely would we connect a serious reaction, side-effect days, week(s), month(s), and perhaps year(s) away from that mixt. taken whence. With lyme and some other TBDs most of can, almost without thought, but we tend not to do so with medicines, and/or a mixt. of stuff, unless specifically instructed to observe for something. Something could develop slowly over time.
