Can anyone tell me if Flagyl can cause hives? I have been on ketek and flagyl for 5 days...i now have raised hives that are itchy and burning....anyone know anything about this

Hmm, ive gotten a single hive around my lip 4 times on flagyl allready.

Told the LLMD and he didnt think anything of it.

Anything can cause hives, even supplements. The question now becomes what do the hives mean- allergic reaction, herx ( which it can cause hives, etc)

Make sure you mention it to your doc.

wow...thanks for the quick response.....So a herx can cause hives??? i did not know this.I was on ketek and flagyl before for two weeks and had no problem...went off for a week and now back on....i will call doctor tomorow.

A herx can cause hives???? anyone elsy have this?
