I know Igenex is the best for WB. (oops! [dizzy] Thanks Betty for pointing out my faux pas)
I know that MDL is the best for co-infections.

Went to new Ped for dd today. She is ordering WB, Elisa & PCR from MDL.

She said if test is neg., she doesn't really feel we need to worry about her.

For those who don't know - dd had pos 41 KDA IGG & 23 KDA IGM on crummy Quest WB, hubby & I disagree whether or not she has symptoms.

I'm wondering to what degree I should be fearing a false neg/pos test. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

I could also use some prayers for accuracy, if anybody can spare some. At least I know they're better than Quest, that does help to some degree.

Thanks!

I just got back another set of blood work from MDL today. All PCR's neg. for lyme and all co-infections. Also had tissues samples sent there from gastro surgery and all were neg. for lyme and co-infections.

The only test that shows lyme is Igenex WB.

MDL has always been neg. for us. Not that we want a positive, but we want an answer.

my blood work for cos and for Lyme from MDL in 2001 and 2002 was positive.

I have had several surgeries and sent biopsies for PCR and never had a positive PCR. I am still waiting to hit the lottery on that one.

MDL found babs in my blood where Igenex did not.

I think they are a great lab for WB and coinfection testing. I wouldnt waste money on the PCR especially if it is blood.

good luck!

Did she send a challenged urine PCR? Personally

that test has been the best for us with MDL.

The 2 that aren't CDC positive thru IGeneX have

positive urine PCR's thru MDL.

Sorry you and your husband aren't agreeing that

can be a very difficult situation when it comes

to children.

Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers,

Lyme x 9
