Hi,

I had some type of bad herx reaction this past Sat and Sun. REALLY sore legs, feet, butt, hips, slurring words, sore throat, swollen glands. Anxiety went way up on Sunday, but was tolerable on Saturday.

Felt better yesterday, just tired, today am still very tired.

The only thing I did differently last week was to start Theralac. I took one on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fri (forgot to bring one on Thanksgiving, we were gone the whole day). Then I started reading that Theralac can actually kill candida?? I have also been eating 2-4 cloves of raw garlic with olive oil and Ezekial bread every day.

I usually have lots of bowel movements as I eat lots of fiber, but didn't have much on the weekend until today. If candida are being killed, would it stop things up??

I have eaten LOTS of sugar in the past, have had 3 pregnancies in a relatively short period of time which I understand can help facilitate the growth of yeast. Back when I got sick, I had been on Doxy for acne for I would say at least 6 months with no probiotic (this was in the 90's when it wasn't widely known, doc didn't say anything about taking it and I was a teen so I didn't question anything).

I'm wondering if Candida is a big problem for me even more than the Lyme, anxiety is also caused from Candida.

Also, are black beans OK on a candida diet?? I make them homemade, by soaking the beans, are organic, ect and put tons of cumin in my soup, garlic, cilantro.

Thanks!!

Ocean

It doesn't kill it, but it may be making your body better able to kill it off.

That stuff flat out WORKS!

Conquering candida is just as important as conquering lyme. My belief is that you CANNOT get over Lyme until you get the yeast beaten down.

read here for which foods are OK and not OK

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/021412.html

I think beans are OK in moderation .. esp once you get the yeast under control.

Can you get some Diflucan? a good natural product is Yeast N Check.

Tutu,
Thanks for the link! That helps a lot. I tried googling beans, but found many contradictions. This is going to be a challenge for me, because as a vegetarian, I rely on beans. I had 3 eggs this morning and a whole grapefruit. I was very hungry today, but not much the whole weekend.

I have 20 lbs of organic sunflower seeds I got from our health coop (in bulk they are so cheap!), and 1/4 cup has over 200 calories so that's good, as I weighed myself today (hoping I had gained some from Thanksgiving ) and had lost another 2 lbs.

Of course I then started worrying that maybe I really have cancer as I read somewhere when the Lymphocytes or monocytes are low it usually means HIV or cancer. But mine are probably low from the Lyme/Candida.

By the way, how are you feeling??? Hopefully much better than last week, that sounded very rough.

Take care,
Ocean

Sometimes you can be sensitive to the active yeast in the product itself.

I couldnt take it because I am very sensitive to yeast and mold.

Thanks, Ocean. I'm better. Was able to get out yesterday...but ran a low fever last night.

Still on abx.

Hope you can manage the diet, being a vegetarian. Eat lots of veggies!! [Big Grin]

Hi LymeHerx,

What were your symptoms when you took it? I believe it actually has bacteria in it, not yeast, correct me if I'm wrong though! I think the yeast is able to grow when we don't have enough of the good bacteria.

I felt fine on Tuesday, a little weepy on Wed, cried again on Thursday, felt pretty good on Fri, was tired, but hadn't slept much. Then Sat was like BAM!! Here you go!!

Thanks,
Take care,
Ocean

Thanks Lymetoo,
So glad you are getting better, what a month Nov proved to be for you!My husband wanted me to make vegetable soup, so that's what I'll do, but leave out the beans. I usually use a container of store bought tomato juice. Any idea if that is OK. The rest of the stuff is frozen or fresh, I try not to use canned foods too much.

Thanks so much for your help! By the way, how long did it take for your candida to get under control??

Thanks!
Ocean
