Sorry, my brain isn't working, can anyone give me a direct answer? Is it for lyme? What other abx are you on when doing Bicillin? Can it be done via PICC line?
Thanks a lot!

Hi justag,
LA Bicillin is for Lyme. It's very effective. It's known for helping the neuro-cognitive stuff in the head.
It gives long, intense herxes. The first herx lasted 6 1/2 weeks and was very intense. As time went on the herxes didn't last as long and were not as intense.
It's given as an intramuscular shot in the butt. For example, I got 3 shots every week for ten months. I'm grateful for these. They have helped me a lot.
It must be kept refrigerated. For example, when shipped overnight it must arrive with an ice pack that's still partly frozen.
Pharmacists need to keep it refrigerated.
It's called a "natural" antibiotic and because its a shot it's not processed in the GI tract. That's good news for a lot of Lymies.
It's expensive. Sorry.
LA Bicillin can NOT be given through a PICC line. It is delivered only as an intramuscular shot. It dissipates slowly from your muscle into your system.
I took biaxin (oral) with it. But it depends on what your LLMD prescribes.
Some few give themselves the shot. I can't imagine that, because I can't imagine giving myself one of these shots.
Is there someone who can give you the shots? A nurse who is a neighbor? Your docs office nurse?
This med is thick and needs to be injected slowly.
I gather you're not doing well. I'm sorry. I know well what that is. We all do!
I pray for more angels to come to this board and come into our lives...

Hi Justag,
Ya, I know the misery of being in the depth of Lyme. Especially the head stuff. No doubt about it.
If others only knew what we go through ...
Do you have someone locally who at least tries to understand what you're going through? That support can mean a lot.
