Hi, just wanted to see if anyone had any experience w/ artemesinin gel that they could share.
My ND ordered it for my rash. I just applied the first dose a couple of hours ago, and I feel like I'm getting a herx from it. The rash is on my shoulders, among other places, and now my shoulders are aching.

I have used that on my daughter--Allergy Research brand.
It was something I saw and wanted to try on her. I used it because she has babs and she was taking zith and mepron at the time. She had so much going on I thought it would be easier to use transdermal rather than give her another pill.
It would be hard for me to decide if she herxed on it because she was on so many other things at the time. I do think it was benifical at the time and I plan on using it again soon.
Hope you feel better.

I'm using Allergy Research brand also. So far, the jury's out on the results, but it's only been a little over a day. I think the idea behind using it in my case is that there may be micro-organisms in/causing the rash, and applying the artemesinin gel to it will deliver the art more directly to the site of infection.
I'm also going to be starting artemesinin caps as soon as they arrive.
I'll let you know how it goes.

My husband has used the artemisinin gel in the past for relief of a recurring rash he refers to as "the stingers." He did not herx on the gel, but rather just experienced relief from the itching/biting sensations. The rash has also responded well to Malarone, Rifampin, and Cat's Claw. So, we don't know if it's related to Lyme, bart, or babs. He also used Allergy Research Group brand.
Please do let us know how it goes.
