First I want to say that I'm totally irritated that I couldn't log on today until right now! I woke up at 5am to post to you ladies and ask what you thought and over 14 hours later, I just now was able to get on.

Secondly, I was able to get on for a second, wrote this long post about what happened, when I went to click add post, it went down again. ARRRRG!

So, for the past week, and I don't even know if I was supposed to do this or not. BUT I did, so here it goes. When I went to my new general doctor...she thought I must have inflammation in my neck. She gave me the dreaded steroids. Not injections but the pills, Prednisone?

She's so misinformed because she said that it sounds like maybe my immune system is down and this will (the Prednisone) give it a boost. I reluctantly filled it and right there on the bottle it says, "This can lower your immune system".

So, over the past week, I did my own thing. Amoxy 500mg x 3 day plus the doxy 100mg 2x a day.

I went to take a shower last night and I was admiring my hairy arm pits (because I feel like total crap right now and I could care a less how hairy I am!)

I lifted up my arm and right beneath or maybe even in on below my arm pit...I saw a perfect and mean perfect, classic bull's eye rash. I DID NOT GET BITTEN AGAIN.

I ran out of the bathroom stark naked, in front of an open window and asked my husband without suggesting a thing, I said, "What do you think about this thing underneath my arm?" and he said "Babe, that's a classic bull's eye rash". He claims to be the 3rd person to have Lyme disease in S.C. many years ago...but they caught it within a week, took antibiotics, and he has had no further damage at all.

I know that I didn't get bit again. NO way no how.

Why did this show up? Is it possible that the steroids did it or is the herx everyone talks about that made one pop up?

I really need some answers. I had never seen anything like that on my body, since the first bite was on a tattoo.

P.S. I feel like total dog crap. I hurt, have the worst fatigue, and HEADACHE that NOTHING gets rid of.

I printed out the sheet from Igenex and HOPEFULLY my doctor will sign for it.

Any clues why I got a new bull's eye rash and is such a thing even possible?

Get a photo- NOW. Include a coin or ruler for size. Than get another with your face in it.

The bullseye is diagnostic for Lyme, period.

Try to get to a doc for visual confirmation too if you can. A walk-in is fine.

Yes, the meds can trigger rashes of any kind.

Do Not take the steroids.

RIght--stop all steroids, as this means beyond any shadow of

a doubt that you have Lyme. One of the best Lyme

docs actually employs the phrase "steroid disaster."

First get a picture and get to your doctor or an ER so they can document the rash.

Dont know the rest of your story, but the do say Lyme can be transmitted sexually. Did you have a tick bite or exposure.

It would be interesting to get your husband tested as well to see if he is positive or producing antibodies.

Bottom line; Go see a LLMD. Others will give you bad advice or treatment.

And still positive ELISA and WB two years after IV treatment

Any more suggestions that the antibiotics or steroids that I've already taken (unfortunately) could have brought out a new bull's eye rash??? It that kinda like a Herx or what? Or is this just some weird coincidence? I KNOW I didn't get bitten, I promise you that.
