I've been previously on iv rocephin, iv zithromax as well as other orals. I've been on orals for 7 months. symptoms are back now, full force for joint pain, electric shocks in hips as

well as the usual neuro stuff (detachment, when it started headaches for 3 days I couldn't lift my head off the pillow, living in a fog, but thank God basic intellect still there). My llmd

thinks I should go back on iv , 3 grams of iv rocephin as well as oral zithromax and tindamax. I think it's going to explode and I'll be a mental mess, but when it cleared up,

with the God's help, I was human for months of back to myself with hardly any pain. I'm afraid of herxes with a mix like this. Has anyone done this and survived keeping themselves, bodies and

mind in tact? Positive on bartonella and lyme testing.

Thanks much, be well.

Soooooooooo sorry to hear about your health. Darn it all!

That is a doozy of a combo, I agree. I can't suggest to not do what your doctor wants you to do... but I can say I would certainly ask if you could go slowly... at least at first?

I would also encourage you to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!

When herxing too hard... that isn't good for anyone!

I hope you come to a comfortable conclusion and it is helpful for you! Please feel better soon!

Yes, I have survived herxes that made me feel like my head was going to explode, and that sent me to bed for a couple of days; this year in fact!

I always feel better after herxes like that. It only happens if I start a new abx or increase doses of a current tx. My tx has really been, no pain, no gain, and more pain, more gain.

But I do not think it is good to herx that much, personally. If I get that sick from a die off after starting an abx, I cut back with my docs permission and start increasing slowly. I might have tried more aggressive tx, but I have to remain functional.

Sounds like your doc has a good plan, but you should let them know if it makes you too sick and you need to take a day off. Hope you feel better soon.
