After reading post by tonyp on 8/3 I see references to CD57 test? Don't see that listed on the IGeneX site?
What is that?
I'm in here sucking up any into I can for my 82 y.o. mother's sake.
Diagnoised 6/20/08 by FP and only given two weeks worth of Doxy @ 200 mg / day. Went into remission (?) but is now sick again.
Have learned LOTS on here....thanks!!
PS - only started researching today, so don't know what sort of test she had or the results.

It's sometimes helpful in helping to determine if the patient has chronic Lyme. Most of us know when we're chronic, so I don't see the need of it.
If you'll do a search here.... see the tiny word "search" above... you'll find that some here have HIGH scores on the CD57 and some have LOW scores.
Usually both groups feel horrible, so again... I think the test is flawed at best.

Also do a simple Google search for CD-57 lyme....
There's a pamphlet on the web entitled "Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease" by J. Burrascano, M.D. It has a good rundown of various diagnostic approaches...
