I was wondering how long most people treat with Mepron. I was under the impression that most treatment is between 4-6months. After all my questions about Mepron and side effects it seems that many are on much longer treatment. I was wondering what is the average treatment duration and what are most doctors looking at for an endpoint to treatment.

Thanks again!

My doctor is looking for me to be babs symptom free. I've been on Mepron/Malarone/or Lariam for 18 months now.

I just started, so I'm just on a 6-week course. My aunt has been on it for years.

I've been on it for 8 months. I was taking 1tsp 2x a day, but after 5 months had not made much progress.

3 months ago, I began taking 2tsp 2x a day. After 2 months getting better, so cut back to one tsp 2 x a day again.

But have been having problems again.

Babs is a tough thing to get rid of sometimes. Doc says I will be on it for at least a year.
