I just filled a prescription for sporanox and nystatin. After reading the warning labels, I am scared to take the sporanox.
It says that you shouldn't take this medicine if you have heart problems, and you shouldn't take with certain meds (which I'm not taking) that are broken down by a liver enzyme system, because they can build up in the body and cause fatal heart arrythmias.
I already get heart palpitations, which the cardiologist calls benign ventrical tacychardia (sp?)-or, extra/fast beat.
I'm wondering if anyone who has heart palpitations or mitral valve prolapse has successfully taken this medicine. Also, the combination of the two seems like it would be hard on the liver.

Thanks guys. I feel a little bit better about taking this medicine, especially after reading Pamyla's post.
I'm going to wait until next week, though-after my vacation (just in case). I think I'll just start with the Nystatin first.
