Hey all,
First, has anyone gotten any new news on what is happening with the case in Connecticut against the IDSA? I saw a brief write up on the LymeDoctor site. ANYONE????
Anyway, I ran into a friend the other day who is a nurse. It turns out she is working for the Infectious Disease Specialist who told me I do not have Lyme even without a full exam. The doctor told me I needed to stretch more. I was ****ed! Anyway, I told my nurse friend I thought this doctor was clueless.
Anyway, I was talking to my friend, the nurse and was explaining my case. She asked why they didn't just give me abx for three weeks to see if I responded. I tried to explain that may not be enough. She never even heard of co-infections.
So, I have been trying to gather info. to send her to give her a little education since she seems willing.

Co-infections (other tick-borne infections or TBD - tick-borne disease) are not discussed in the Savely article due to space limits. Still, any LLMD you would see would know how to assess/treat if others are present.

Wow, thanks. Where do you find so much info?
I was looking for something that talks about the life of borrelia bacteria and how from a scientific basis that based on science, this bacteria needs to be treated long term. I have this in writing, written by a local Lyme doc but nothing on the net.
